On the first Wednesday of every month, Madeline’s Closet opens its doors for Community Day—a special opportunity for individuals and families to browse and choose clothing and essential household items at no cost.
We believe that everyone deserves access to quality clothing and everyday necessities in a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment. Whether you’re facing a temporary hardship, adjusting to life’s changes, or simply need a helping hand, you’ll always be greeted with kindness and compassion.
What You’ll Find
Community Day is designed to make accessing essential items simple, comfortable, and dignified.
During your visit, you can browse a variety of donated items, including:
- Clothing for babies, children, teens, and adults
- Shoes, coats, hats, and seasonal outerwear
- Accessories, jewelry
- Household linens, blankets, and towels
- Kitchen and household essentials (when available)
- Special seasonal items throughout the year
Our inventory changes regularly as generous community members continue to donate, so each visit may offer something new.
Friendly volunteers are always available to answer questions and help you find what you need.
More Than Clothing
At Madeline’s Closet, we know that clothing is about more than staying warm.
The right outfit can help a child feel confident on the first day of school, prepare someone for a job interview, or simply make a person feel comfortable and valued.
Community Day is about creating a welcoming space where neighbours support one another with kindness and respect. Every donated item represents generosity, hope, and the belief that small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
No one should ever feel embarrassed about asking for help. We are proud to serve our community with compassion, confidentiality, and respect for every individual who walks through our doors.
